Martin Blunden QFSM MIFireE – former Chief Officer of the largest Fire & Rescue Service in the UK and one of the largest in the World. Martin was recognised by the late, Her Majesty the Queen in the 2021 New Year’s Honours list – being awarded the Queens Fire Service Medal (QFSM) for distinguished service. He also has a number of awards for Excellence in Service Delivery during secondments to HM Government to deliver work on their behalf. In addition, Martin was also awarded the International Higgins and Langley Award for his contribution to the development of water rescue in the UK and introducing a comprehensive system for training, deployment and safe working for all statutory and voluntary responding agencies. ​
